The Work4UPlus2 Programme is managed by Newry & Mourne Co-op and Enterprise Agency in partnership with REACT and the Education Authority. The programme is funded by the UK Big Lottery Fund. The Work4UPlus2 programme of activities is aimed at helping young people, who are ‘at risk’ of becoming disengaged from education, employment or training.
We offer extra support and training to those ‘at risk’ young people who are unable to make the most of their skills, we will help them stay on track by overcoming the barriers, that stop them from getting into or stop them from staying in, education, employment or training. We held a “Sharing Lessons and Successes Seminar” in NICVA in September 2017, with an open invitation sent to those who work with or are interested in supporting young people, the seminar was delivered by Newry & Mourne Enterprise Agency’s Dr. Conor Patterson and Pauline Coghlan Work4UPlus programme manager.
The new Work4UPlus2programme will be enhanced through the addition of peer mentoring by previous Work4UPlus graduates and many work readiness activities suggested by young people who have completed the programme.
